Raising Resilient Kids
Raising Resilient Kids Parenting
Raising Resilient Kids (RRK) is an online reflective parenting group, designed to strengthen the caregiver-child relationship during the early childhood years (age 0-6). This 8-week group is facilitated by physicians and covered by MSP with a referral from primary care practitioners. Parents and caregivers benefit from psycho-education on children’s social-emotional development, and learn essential parenting skills to navigate conflict, normalize distress, and support healthy emotional expression in children.
RRK Program Strategies Include:
- attachment and reflecting parenting approaches
- cognitive, behavioural, dialectical, and interpersonal approaches for encounters with anxiety and challenging behaviours in kids
- self-regulation and co-regulation practices
- mindfulness and compassion practices
Groups are 8 weekly 1.5 – 2 hour groups available virtually with in-person being considered for the future.
This group is for parents/caregivers and/or parents-to-be who care for at least one child who is 0-6 years old. If you are a caregiver who is currently coping with stress related to looking after dependents, this group might be beneficial for you.
